In August at the request of the College of Ophthalmologists, Dr D’Mellow presented a seminar on the assessment of visual impairment to ophthalmologists in  PNG.

Ophthalmologists from around the country logged in to attend the two hour seminar detailing the accurate mechanism of assessing visual impairment for
compensation and legal reporting.

This gave a uniform structured approach for them to use, based on the AMA permanent impairment guidelines. The feedback was very positive with many attendees having no prior training on the subject.
