A message from Emily McIntyre, a newly graduated Optometry student who has been working at Terrace CentreEye.

I was lucky enough to be granted the opportunity to work at Terrace Eye Centre in my final two years of my Master of Optometry. As an Optometry student, this experience gave me invaluable insight into the referral pathway for patients and has led me to pursuing a clinical Optometry career. I have been able to practice and perfect my preliminary testing skills, use state of the art diagnostic equipment and see a range of ocular conditions that the typical Optometry student would only see in a textbook.

Terrace Eye Centre is home to many esteemed Ophthalmologists and it has been an absolute privilege to learn and work alongside them; they are experts in their field, but also great people. Not only this, I have had the opportunity to meet hundreds, if not thousands of patients, hear their stories and help them on their way to better health and sight. I will be forever grateful to the staff and Doctors at Terrace Eye Centre for their guidance and for giving me the confidence to enter the workforce as a newly graduated Optometrist.
