On Friday 3 March members of Terrace Eye Centre attended anniversary Celebration in partnership with QIMR Medical Research Institute.
The fundraising event was to assist in raising funds to support Ocular Melanoma (OM) research at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.
Since 2012, Professor Nick Hayward’s team at QIMR Berghofer in conjunction with the Queensland Ocular Oncology Service (QOOS) which operates out of Terrace Eye Centre, have been investigating the genetics of OM with a particular focus on Uveal Melanoma (UM), a particular type of OM.
The aims of this research is to gain better outcomes for children and adults suffering from Ocular Melanoma.
